Resistor INTRODUCTION
The UMR Series flame-proof type miniature Metal Film Resistors are manufactured by vacuum depose it metal film on
high thermal conductivity and specific gravity Rosenthal ceramic or same grade Japans rods. The both ends of
ceramic are coated with precision mixed metals which help to prevent against noise, and to provide low TCR
and low Tol precision resistors the can meet MIL and JIS requirement.
Utilizing a 95~98% of AI ceramic cores and combined a special cutting technology inside, this resulting superior
resistors give excellent heat dissipation, stable performance and significantly up-grade the power rating.

負溫度係數(NTC)熱敏電阻材料之應用簡介

熱敏電阻(ThermistorThermal Resistor之縮寫)是一種高溫度係數的電阻體,就其電阻係數之大小而言,乃屬於半導體;而依其電阻值隨溫度變化的情形,主要可將其分為負溫度係數(NTC, Negative Temperature Coefficient)熱敏電阻及負溫度係數(PTC, Positive Temperature Coefficient)熱敏電阻兩種。本文僅將透過負溫度係數熱敏電阻之電阻-溫度特性、電流-電壓特性及電流-時間特性來介紹其應用。

電阻-溫度特性:NTC的電阻值可以隨溫度的上升而下降,由於其溫度係數非常大,所以可以檢知微小的溫度變化,因此被廣泛應用在溫度的量測、控制與補償。

電流-電壓特性:當通入的電流小,幾乎不使元件本身發熱時,電阻值是一定值。當電流增加,NTC熱敏電阻產生的焦耳熱使元件本身的溫度上昇(self-heating),並與環境進行熱交換。此電流-電壓特性的典型應用為液位感測器,其基本原理是利用NTC熱敏電阻在液體和空氣中的熱散失差異;如前所述,NTC熱敏電阻通以電流後產生焦耳熱而昇溫,其熱量傳導至週圍介質,平衡溫度將隨介質種類而不同。利用此現象可檢知NTC熱敏電阻在液體中或空氣中,以適時啟動警示燈。

電流-時間特性:NTC熱敏電阻的另一個重要參數是時間,亦即使NTC熱敏電阻從某一電阻值改變到另一電阻值所需的時間。當開始加電壓於NTC熱敏電阻時是定電阻、定電流的狀態,而在自熱區域(self-heating)則電阻下降、電流增加。而其改變速率則和加於NTC熱敏電阻上的功率和元件本身的Thermal Mass、形狀/結構及環境狀況等因素有關。此一電流-時間特性可用於抑制突波電流,又不至於對電路的總電流造成太大的影響。因此被廣泛應用於OA機器的交換式電源供應器中,以抑制電源開啟時,引發的突波電流,如此可以防止熔絲的熔斷與保護電子線路及其他電子元件,以提高OA機器的可靠度。

隨著以微電腦為主體的微電子快速普及,及顯示器被大量應用,並隨著科技的發展、製程技術的進步,NTC/組件的應用領域不斷拓展。市場需求與產品應用範圍廣泛,涵蓋電子、資訊、通訊、家電、汽車、生醫、航太等相關產業。
