解像度 Resolution


Image resolution,台灣譯為「解析度」,香港譯為「解像度」,中國大陸譯為「分辨率」,泛指量測或顯示系統對細節的分辨能力。此概念可以用時間、空間等領域的量測。日常用語中之解像度多用於影像的清晰度。解像度越高代表影像質素越好,越能表現出更多的細節;但相對的,因為紀錄的資訊越多,檔案也就會越大。個人電腦裏的影像,可以使用影像處理軟件(例如Adobe PhotoshopPhotoImpact)調整大小、編輯相片等。

定義

影像處理或訊號處理中的空間或時間解像度:能夠分辨影像中兩個點或線的能力。最好的數學定義是使用點擴充功能函數的分佈大小。

訊號處理中的頻譜解像度,由觀察的時間窗長所決定的所能夠分辨的最小的頻譜分量的差別。

單位

描述解像度的單位有:dpi(點每英寸)、lpi(線每英寸)和ppi(每英寸像素)。但只有lpi是描述光學解像度的尺度的。雖然dpippi也屬於解像度範疇內的單位,但是他們的含義與lpi不同。而且lpidpi無法換算,只能憑經驗估算。

另外,ppidpi經常都會出現混用現象。但是他們所用的領域也存在區別。從技術角度說,「像素」只存在於電腦顯示領域,而「點」只出現於打印或印刷領域。
